Stormy Weather
By Cameron Li
Strong stormy wind,
Powerful it is.
From the mountains and through the trees it comes
Traveling across a path like a swarm of bees
The track and the steps left from hikers,
Swept and covered they become.
Heavy, wet raindrops carried amongst the wind,
Thus begins a trail of water
Where the water comes
Thunder roars and bellows over
The silent sound of splashing on the ground
Where the raindrops splash
Lightning strikes Igniting the land
Where the lightning strikes
Fog covers and hides Scorched gravel and stone
From amongst the bushes
Trees have fallen all over the mountain
Puddles ripple rapidly
Whilst the feet of hikers get chilly
From atop, a landscape of civilisation Spreads out below
Lights and lamps remove darkness and enlightens the city
The sun rises
Black clouds dissipate
The raindrops stop
The heavy wind calms
The storm finally ends.
