JAZ' AWESOME poem called {trumpet blasting in the background} THE STORM BY JAZ

2/7/13
The storm
The wind thrashes the boy,
Walking in the freezing air
And the rain hits
Him with continuous blows.
The boy moans as he is hit
But he forces on through the streets.
As the rain drenches his clothes
It feels like the earth,
Angry with its inhabitants,
Is throwing everything it has at them today.
The wind, the rain
All beating down on the earth’s people.
The boy thought about this
Walking silently through the crowded foot paths
As the rain and the wind blow him on his way.

Tom's poem

Rainy day

The sky darkens as small
droplets of rain start to fall
Wind brushes against your face.
The world becomes duller and greyer.
Suddenly power lines start swinging,
branches snap off trees.
The storm has begun.

The wind carries the rain
over tall hills
and winding valleys,
Piercing your face like a thousand tiny bullets.

Everything is in Black and White,
nothing is worth seeing anymore.
The warm glow of a lit fire.
Pulling people inside
like a magnet.

You feel cold drops of rain
running down your suddenly numb fingers.
You open the door,
         and go back inside.    :D

Manyi's Poem

That night

The rain
splatters across her window
a memory flashes
like a punishment

A tree cuts through
like an intruder,
rummaging through the house
trashing and throwing

She hears
trees thrash
having a tantrum,
while wind bolts through the streets

The wind squeals
whines,
screams at people on the street

Whilst for her
wind gushes across,
lashes across,
whipping

Street lamps,
flash out, no lights
the force of wind
curves the metal

This is what
her memory brings
as she looks out the window

Myfanwy's Poem

When it rains

The sky cries,
the tears plunge down for
what seems like a lifetime.

Still pools form,
her reflection mirrored
in front of her
hazy,
she peels away damp hair
plastered to her face.

Lightning lashes
out a second of
light.
The trees shudder.

Water flows from the
surface
fleeing to the drain.

The wind murmurs quietly ,
a blast of cold air comes at her
it’s touch making her shiver.

she turns her head up
and watches the clouds,

waiting.

May's Poem

The Storm

Frostbite fingers
Brutal hail
Shrieking wind
Careless.

People drenched to the skin
Lampposts dancing
Miles of grey cloud.

Lights shining
Onto horizontal rain
Newspaper being scrunched
On my roof.

Trees falling
You hear nothing
Until
“Crash”.

Windscreen wipers
About to fly off.

Sea water
Splashing everywhere
Destroying everything
In its path.

The weather

Having a tantrum.

Jason's rain poem

Rain
drip drop drip drop,
A chilly wind blows,
blows on your skin,
and the rain gets blown
The wind forcing the rain to hit,
hit anything in its way,
just like a missile,
splashing on power lines,
and splashing on  windows, making a scrunch scrunch scrunch!
all on a sunshiny day

Elijah's epic poem

THE STORM
The dog bolting
through the rain,
the breeze blowing
rain,
Continuously falling.
Dark clouds
performing into one
pitter patter, pitter patter,
water falling
On your face.
The storm growling
at the people,
the water dripping
at the tip
of you're finger.

Millie's poem

The game of the storm

The unseen force flees
skimming the ground
and leaving
the trees doubled over.

The wetness perseus
drenching everything
within reach of its many
wet droplets.

The rain catches the wind.
The wind blows the rain away.

The wind blown rain falls diagonally
landing and creating
a picture on the ground.

The parents arrive.
and spoils the game.

Ope's poem

Twister
You walk.
The fog makes you blind and
you can’t see anything.
Then you walk outside
and you see a twister coming
and the sky is getting darker
then everything starts to fly,
gates snap like gunshot
as you handle them.
Then trees fall on you're roof and
make a slamming noise
and the twister is getting closer.
Everybody starts to run

BUT! they are too late

Dante's Weather Poem

Weather Poem
The wind howls as it pushes the light pour of vapour.
The hill becomes devoured by darkness, black.
The moonlight reflects off the raindrops, now heavy and fast.

The droplets cut your vision, blurring your eyes.
The freeze dives under your skin, driving the cold
Your veins numb as the people around you move quickly
fighting the infinite fall of rain.

Everything slow and eventually stops.
You look up, the clouds are gone.
The sun once again illuminates the sky,
you smile.

Thomas's Poem

Storm

With a gust of wind
the gate smashes open
the lights flicker
on, and off
while the rain
smacks down
on the roof above.
Water drips
Off the roof
forming large puddles
like
a small river
flowing
to a large ocean.

You walk outside
and the chilly breeze
stings your body.
The rustling
of bushes
pierces your ears.

The barking of dogs
a faint distraction
from
the hammering of rain
and

the crack of lightning.

Whirl Wind (max)

WHIRL WIND

lIGHTS FLICKER
PEOPLE CANTER TO THEIR HOMES TO COWER
BELLOWING FOR YOUNG ONES TO SLEEP IN BASEMENTS
OUTSIDE BLACK LIQUID  FALLS LIKE  BULLETS RAINING DOWN ON GALLIPOLI
A CHILD SLIDING THROUGH SHRUB SEEKING SHELTER
WHILST RAIN CREATES A CRACKLING NOISE
A SKETCHY BEAM OF LIGHT FLASHES
ACCROSS THE DARKENING SKY
CRISPING WOOD
CREATING A FLICKERING LIGHT
THAT SIZZLES OFF
AS THE SLITHER BECOMES LOUDER
SWIRLING WIND HISSES
HAY JOINS THE SWIRL
SILENCE FLOODS THE VALLEY

AND CLOUDS DRIFT AWAY
