Poi and Haka

Our kapahaka learning has resulted in a very polished waiata.  We farewelled Fa'anu'u with this poi waiata "Papaki ana" and the Ruaumoko Haka.

Great War Museum Trip

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents that joined us for today's trip. This was a highlight for the class! It was hugely beneficial for us to see what else happened after the Gallipoli Campaign. Check out some of the amazing scenes and if you can, take a trip to the Great War Museum, it's open till 6pm every night with late night till 10pm every Wednesday.

"I liked seeing the flame thrower.  It set things on fire, soldiers used them in the trenches.  Soldiers also had to wear gas masks.  Many people died from the gas and all the guns.  Planes also dropped bombs on the trenches."   By Juno - Year 7 Writer's workshop.
