On the first day back of Term 2, students were given the task of constructing a memorial cross to someone who died in the First World War. Afterwards, students researched the person they were making the cross for, using the Online Auckland Cenotaph - a database with information about the war dead - and Archway, New Zealand Archives. Students researched soldiers who died of Malaria to Victoria Cross winners who died in battle as well as a nurse.
